Neurology has a large cadre of neurologists with a variety of sub-specialty expertise including epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, cerebral vascular diseases, movement disorders, child neurology and behavioral disorders. Strong programs in Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery and Neuropathology support the Department of Neurology in carrying out its clinical and research missions. This includes intradisciplinary programs that involve epilepsy monitoring and surgery, deep brain stimulation for movement disorders and interventional stroke therapy.
The Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry sponsors several training programs, including General Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry Fellowships, Child Psychiatry Fellowships, Postdoctoral Clinical Neuropsychology Residencies, Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internships, Psychosomatic Fellowships, and Social Work Internships.
The Department of Neurosurgery has an active residency training program and faculty with expertise in cranial, neurovascular, pediatrics, spine, epilepsy, functional, neuro-oncology and skull based subspecialties. Strong collaboration exists with Neurology, Neuroscience, and Neuroradiology; our number of neurovascular procedures is among the highest in the country.
